1. ChatGPT Registration Email Address

What we collect: Your email address associated with your ChatGPT account.

Why we collect it: This email is used to:

Uniquely identify your account for payment processing
Send payment receipts and transaction confirmations

Verify your identity when you contact us for assistance

How we handle it: Your email is securely stored on our servers with encryption. It is never shared with third parties except for payment processing services (e.g., payment gateways) that require it to complete transactions.

2. OpenAI User Identifier

What we collect: Your unique OpenAI account identifier.

Why we collect it: This identifier allows us to:

Associate your extension data with your specific OpenAI account
Eliminate the need for additional login steps within the extension
Ensure your folder structures, prompts, and settings are linked to the correct OpenAI account

How we handle it: This identifier is stored securely on our servers and is used solely for account association purposes. It is never shared with third parties.

3. OpenAI Authorization Token (Local Only)

What we collect: Your OpenAI authorization token that grants access to OpenAI's API.

Why we collect it: This token enables the extension to:

Call OpenAI's text-to-speech API to generate and download MP3 audio files
Modify conversation titles through OpenAI's API
Delete conversations using OpenAI's API
Search and retrieve conversations from your ChatGPT account
Access other ChatGPT features directly through OpenAI's official API

How we handle it: This authorization token is ONLY processed locally in your browser and is NEVER uploaded to our servers or any third-party servers. It remains on your device and is used exclusively for making API calls directly from your browser to OpenAI's services.

4. Selected Text from Web Pages (Local Only)

What we collect: Text that you manually select on web pages.

Why we collect it: When you select text and choose "Search with ChatGPT" from the right-click context menu, the selected text is used to:

Open ChatGPT with your selected text as a search query
Automatically populate the ChatGPT input field with your selected keywords
Provide quick access to ChatGPT with relevant context

How we handle it: Selected text is ONLY processed locally in your browser and is NEVER uploaded to our servers. The text is only captured when you explicitly right-click and select the "Search with ChatGPT" option. It is immediately passed to ChatGPT's interface and is not stored or transmitted to any of our servers.

5. Usage Analytics

What we collect: Information about how you interact with the extension, including feature usage patterns, preferences, technical details such as time zone, geographic location, access timestamps, browser version and type, device specifications, network connection details, and IP address.

Why we collect it: To improve the extension's functionality, user experience, and identify technical issues.

How we handle it: This data is collected anonymously or pseudonymously and is used solely for analytics purposes. It may be processed by third-party analytics services.

Required Permissions

ChatGPT Mods requires specific browser permissions to function properly, including access to chatgpt.com and related domains to provide extension features directly within the ChatGPT interface.

Local Chat Storage

Your conversations stay completely private on your device. We never upload, store, or access your actual chat content on our servers.

Folder Organization

To sync your folder structure across devices, we only save folder names and chat reference IDs (similar to URL identifiers). These references are useless without your personal authentication tokens and are encrypted for additional protection.

Prompt Management

Your saved prompts are encrypted before storage, allowing you to access them from any device while keeping the content completely private.

Important: The one-year retention timer starts only after the uninstallation confirmation page fully loads. Reinstalling during this period resets the deletion countdown.
